Make your existing brand work in every tool your team uses

Your team writes with ChatGPT, designs in Canva and Figma, and drafts decks with AI. A PDF of guidelines can't keep up, so the brand drifts a little with every output. A Brand System Upgrade brings your existing brand to the Moder & Co AI-ready standard: structured files and written rules that people and tools can both work from.

It doesn't redo your strategy or your identity. If your brand needs that, I'll tell you, and we'll talk about Brand Foundations instead.

What you get

Figma variables

Color, type, spacing, and radius as named variables, so every style points to one source.

Figma components

Logo lockups and key layouts (social posts, slides, documents) built with auto layout, so anyone can edit a template without breaking the brand.

Exported tokens

Your variables as a JSON file a developer or a tool can read.

Written brand rules

A one-page brand brief, voice rules, vocabulary, a fact sheet, and a never-promise list, in plain text any AI tool can take in.

Do and don't pairs

Side-by-side examples of on-brand and almost-on-brand copy and images.

Clean exports

Logo files in SVG and PNG, color profiles, and a file naming convention.

Review and training

A review checklist, a named owner on your side, and a recorded 90-minute session with your team.

Tested, not promised

Every delivery lists the tools I actually tested, the date, and the tasks I used. For example: Claude reading your Figma variables through its Figma connector, your brand brief loaded into a Claude Project or a custom GPT, or your Canva Brand Kit. If a tool isn't on the list, it wasn't tested.

What it can't do

Guarantee what an AI tool will produce. The system narrows the gap, and a human review stays in the loop.

Work around your setup. Connections depend on your plans, permissions, and settings.

Stay current forever. Tools change, so every test is dated.

I rebuild your files and guidelines to the standard, test them in your tools, and train your team. Check-in call 30 days later.

Building a new brand? The AI-ready standard is part of every Brand Foundations project.

Why a person still designs the brand

AI tools are good at producing variations. They're not good at deciding which one is right for your brand. That judgment stays with a designer. It also matters for ownership: the US Copyright Office does not grant protection to material generated from prompts alone, so a human-made core gives you a clearer basis for owning your brand assets. For specific questions, talk to an IP attorney.

Is this for you?

Several people on your team create content with AI tools.

Your guidelines are a PDF that few people open.

You've seen AI output that was close to your brand, but not quite.

You're about to scale content, hire, or open a new market.
